Alcoholism Treatment Programs

Millions of people seek alcoholism treatment programs each year but even at that its only a fraction of those addicts who need the services of the many alcohol treatment programs available. The National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) reports that in 2006 23.6 million people aged twelve or older needed help with alcoholism treatment programs and of these, less than ten percent actually received it.

According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration who has a reporting program called Treatment Episode Data Set (TED) there were 1.8 million admissions for alcohol and drug abuse treatment in 2006 with 40% of those being admitted into alcoholism treatment programs. These reports came from any alcoholism treatment program that is funded by the state or federal government.

There are other alcoholism treatment programs not funded by the government that can provide much higher success rates than the state run alcoholic treatment programs. These other alcohol treatment programs have more freedom to deliver services on a much broader scale and for longer periods of time. This longer clean time greatly improves the chances of overcoming addiction forever.

There are thousands of alcoholism treatment programs across the country and you would think there would be as many types of methods of treating alcoholism. You would also think as much effort as man has given to explore space and the depths of the ocean we could provide alcohol abuse treatment programs with more successful outcomes.

Regrettably the state run alcoholism treatment programs can offer at best a less than 10 percent recovery rate which means over 90% of addicts will fail in these programs.  Alcohol treatment programs should offer a comprehensive treatment program that includes nutritional or vitamin therapy and a complete body purification program and basically start from the ground up.

Most alcoholism treatment programs will provide or work intimately with a medical detox facility to make certain the alcohol withdrawals are endured without risk of seizure or stroke but very few take handling the physical addiction and damage beyond that. Most alcoholism treatment program never consider the importance of a properly functioning body to the degree it would take measures to actually do anything about it.

Don’t give up hope however there are alcoholism treatment programs that do provide comprehensive alcoholic treatment programs that cover the physical and mental aspects of alcohol addiction in that order.

If you have experience with failing at the traditional forms of alcoholism treatment programs let us know and we can help determine other alcohol abuse treatment programs that work better for you. Please keep in mind for any of the alcoholism treatment programs to work you have to be willing to confront all that is involved with overcoming addiction, both mental and physical.
